This course prepares you making sense of complex materials in a journalistic context.
This course provides you with the knowledge and skills to report and inform about complex topics and matters in a responsible and trustworthy way. You will be introduced to journalistic methods for gathering, fact-checking and verifying information and how to use them for journalistic and other communication purposes. The course clarifies the differences between fact-based information, disinformation and misinformation, and presents relevant examples of reporting and storytelling during different kinds of crises.
The course consist of assignments – both individual and in groups – as well as discussions and reflections with fellow participants.
